RoastBean
Overview
RoastBean is a roasting machine analytics platform that provides real-time monitoring and analytics for coffee roasting machines. The system connects to IoT sensors on roasting machines to collect temperature, time, and other critical metrics.
Problem
Coffee roasters needed better visibility into their roasting process to maintain consistency and quality. Manual tracking was error-prone and lacked historical data for analysis and improvement.
Process
Built a Flutter mobile app for real-time monitoring and a Node.js backend for data ingestion and processing. Integrated with IoT sensors on roasting machines to collect temperature profiles and other metrics. Implemented data visualization and historical analysis features.
Result
A working analytics platform that provides roasters with real-time insights into their roasting process, enabling better quality control and process optimization through data-driven decisions.
